Once in a blue moon you meet a couple that has something really special. You can’t put your finger on it exactly but you know from their loving glances at each other, their giggles and the sincere compliments they give each other that they lead the pack when it comes to a marriage. The most recent couple I’ve met that falls into this category is Ben & Teresa Carey. Ben & Teresa are helping Marc and I sail our boat Adagio from Virginia to Ft. Lauderdale.
OK, so Ben & Teresa have a great marriage. Then add to it that they spend most of their lives on the sea, sailing, exploring and teaching. Could this couple be any cooler? They truly are too cool for school. Teresa is an instructor for Outward Bound’s sailing program in Maine. Ben is a website designer. And together, they deliver sailboats, provide private sail training, speak at seminars and create documentaries about the ocean. Here is a video they created and entered (and won!) in a contest with the Blue Ocean Film Festival.
Ben & Teresa are currently working on a documentary called One Simple Question that will hopefully be seen around the world. Here is a link to the trailer. I hope they inspire you as much as they’ve inspired me.
